Classics Are Always In Style

Classics Are Always In Style

I've worn glasses since the age of 7. For those that wear glasses, you can understand how choosing the right frames can be an overwhelming task.
Should you go the trendy route? Should I stick to classic black rimmed lenses? So many options!

It's the first thing that people notice about you, also you can be committed to your frames for awhile depending on the price.

So, when Warby Parker asked me to join them in sharing their Half-Decade Collection, I absolutely agreed. I love their classic frames, especially the Roosevelt. They re-released their first-ever collection with updated hues and a 5 engraved on the temple tip.

Below are some of the frames. I feel like anyone of these can easily work with the outfits above. Playing with shapes and patterns in your outfit can really help compliment the frames.

Romantic Thoughts

Untitled #35

Untitled #35 by rosanybrown featuring lace short shorts

I used to think that lace was only suppose to belong in grandma's house and used as a table cloth. The recent laced short trend has completely changed my opinion.

I feel that lace shorts are a great summer short option and can be paired with many items. The shorts will make the outfits look more feminine, if that is something that interest you. They can be worn for many different occasions.

I tend to spill drinks and food on myself all the time, so the all white is not jumping out to me. I like the Alice & Olivia shorts due to not being all white, which is $385. These $31 Jane Norman cream shorts are also a great steal.

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Chanel Espadrilles

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Chanel Espadrilles

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Chanel Espadrilles by rosanybrown featuring woven flats

I really enjoy getting a great pedicure in the summer, but sometimes you cannot make it to your regular appointment. In these cases, you should probably have a summer back up shoe. The espadrille provides the casual look, but without having to expose your feet.

I really like the Chanel espadrilles because the logo is the same color and has a distressed look to them. You can wear them with a skirt, shorts, or jeans. I would definitely go with the black, white, or beige to get more usage of your shoes.

The Chanel espadrilles can range you all the way up to $800, which kind of makes me want to throw up. There is a great pair by Soludos for $40. Go for citrus prints for a more summer feel as well.

Red, White, & Blue

Red, White, & Blue

I just love the 4th of July! It's such a great time to be proud of our country and the history that brought us to where we are today. I usually work on the 4th of July because everyone loves to shop and the sales are insane. I usually like to hang out after work with family or friends to celebrate with a BBQ, watch a fireworks display, visit the beach, or walk a pier.

The outfits above are great options depending on the activities you have planned. I love them all! Just make sure you don't get any mustard or ketchup on the Keds.

Kate Spade Summer Hat

Kate Spade Summer Hat

I love a great hat! This Kate Spade hat just screams "I must have you!" It's a versatile hat that can go from beach to country club in an instant.

I saw crocheted in the name and thought it was going to be an older adult hat, but Kate Spade pulled through. You can purchase it for $228. For some it's not too much, but I'll be waiting until it goes on clearance to purchase. The black floppy hat is also a great alternative to the standard beach hat, which is $13.

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Quilted Everything

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Quilted

Quilts do not just belong back in Pennsylvania. For years Chanel's iconic quilted flap bag has been the most coveted item by celebrities and fashionistas, but can you blame them?! It truly does go with everything in my opinion. So, no wonder that this trend is now transferred to clothing.

I visited the LA Fashion Market on Monday to seek fall fashion trends. One thing for certain is that quilted items will continue to be in. If you currently have a quilted skirt, make sure to save it for fall and winter. You can easily pair the skirt with tights and a sweater. Boom! It's that simple! You are now ahead of a trend.

My personal favorite is the midi H&M skirt above! It has a timeless look to it and seems like a good piece to have in your closet.

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Moods of Norway Oda Dress

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Moods of Norway Oda Dress

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Moods of Norway Oda Dress by rosanybrown

A few days ago I posted a photo of the Oda dress at the Moods Of Norway store on Melrose Ave. I saw it as I walked by and had to run in and get a closer  look. The sequin work is very beautiful. The open back is a nice surprise to the conservative front of the dress.

Since the dress has so many sequins the accessories should be kept low key. Keep the attention on the dress and pair it with black accessories or a color that is prominent. For instance, if there is mostly white sequins then use white/nude accessories.

How fun would this outfit be for a girls night out, holiday dress, New Year's Eve dress, or birthday dress? Remember to wear it with confidence and you'll be unstoppable! Completely drool worthy!

The Oda dress is about $500 and the H&M is about $65. Not too bad for an H&M steal!

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: David Yurman

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: David Yurman

I have a wedding this weekend and I'm so excited! You cry, you laugh, and see friends that you haven't seen in awhile. I  know that it's all about the bride, but I think that cocktail rings are a perfect way to show your personality without taking the spot light away from her. It's also a quick way to change the style of an everyday outfit.

I purchased this Dorothy Perkins cocktail ring for $5, because it reminded me of the David Yurman ring shown above. The DY ring is completely drool worthy! The cost of the beautiful ring is $1,650. I'll post my outfit for the wedding soon! Right now I can't choose which cocktail ring to wear.

The other cocktail ring option is another Dorothy Perkins ring.

It's always important to have options!

Drool-Worthy Enfield Bag

Drool-Worthy Enfield Bag

I'm currently on the hunt for a spring and summer staple bag. I just came across this Rag & Bone Enfield bag and I was in love! It's a croc bag, which is unexpected from afar but the perfect amount of edginess for a summer bag. The bag costs about $550, so personally it's a little pricey. If you're interested in the bag, there's a link below to purchase.

PacSun has a similar satchel, as shown above, for $30. $30!!! That's a steal for me, but I'll just keep drooling over the Rag & Bone Enfield bag.

The Following Inspired Outfit

The Following Inspired Outfit

Are any of you as obsessed as I am over The Following?! It's a pretty messed up show, but I can't help but watch every week! Next week is the season finale and I'm starting to get some withdrawal symptoms, especially after a main character died last night.

I'm not saying that I would be a follower in real life, but I'm sure there are some sick people out there. If I ever were to PLAY a follower on the show, I would wear these items.

Links: Poe Sweatshirt (similar), AE Vegan Jacket (here), Topshop jeans (here), and black booties (similar).

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Alexander McQueen Clutch

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Alexander McQueen Clutch

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Alexander McQueen Clutch by rosanybrown featuring a skull purse

Prom and banquet season is among us. I personally just found my clutch from prom and was disturbed by it. Seriously?! What was I thinking with that clutch?!  Needless to say I tossed it out.

I do wish though that something like the Alexander McQueen clutch was available. The details on the rings are great and you would not have to worry about finding the perfect cocktail ring.

I feel that there is much more room in the look-a-like clutches vs the original McQueen. Of course, the original has the most luxurious feel with the soft satin and beautiful stone work on the rings. The cost of this luxury would be $1,950. I am definitely drooling over this, but I was done when I found the look-a-like at Charming Charlie's on my last trip as pictured far below. Unfortunately, it's not available online.

Click on the images below if you would like to shop the original or the look alike, as well as the hyperlinks in the blog.

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Caged Heels

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Caged Heels

So excited for spring and all the trends that come with the season. It's not exactly flip flop weather, but these caged heels are a great transition from boots and flats. You could wear them with anything! Skirts, jeans, shorts, dresses, and etc. It's the equivalent to a pump. You could wear this trend to work, but would work best for activities outside of the office. For instance, a date, dinner, or a wedding.

A great example of this style is on the Atlantic-Pacific blog. Eadie Blair pairs Sofia Webster heels with a DVF wrap dress. I swear this blogger can do no wrong when it comes to fashion.

Very exciting news for all you guys in the next blog post! It will all be about my husband and I following our dreams.

Dark Spring Florals

Dark Spring Florals

Spring is here and in full swing! It's time to dig out the skirts and dresses and decide what you want to keep or donate. I really like the dark floral trend and it's extremely easy to add to your wardrobe!

Top: Button-down collared shirt or a t-shirt.

Shoes: Pumps, flats, loafers, or wedges.

Jewelry: Delicate jewelery would work best.

You want the focus to stay on the skirt, so make sure to tone down the rest of the look. If your skirt has red in it, rock a red lip!

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Prada Baroque Sunglasses

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Prada Baroque Sunglasses

It's getting warmer! I can't wait for spring! I wish the winter would just end here in Pennsylvania. I'm searching for my new spring must-haves and I'm looking forward to detailed temples on sunglasses.

Prada has the Baroque sunglasses, which I'm drooling over of course! I think the detailed temples are great for the warmer months and a nice surprised when you have your hair pulled back. I just don't know how those tan lines are going to look like?! Wear sunscreen!

I listed the River Island sunglasses because it also has detailed temples, but you can go on Amazon and get a knock off pair of Prada Baroque sunglasses for under $10. Shhhhhh! I usually do not encourage this, but $10 vs $300 it's not sounding too bad right about now.

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Tea Party Attire

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Tea Party Attire

I know it isn't Wednesday yet, but I couldn't help myself with sharing this outfit! My mother-in-law started having a tea party with the ladies from her church last year. It was a great event and it had great success. The ladies enjoyed it so much that they decided to have the event again this year!

The dress code for the event is a white or off-white outfit with a head adornment to accentuate your facial beauty. The event is in May and I look forward to piece together an outfit. This outfit board is considered drool worthy, especially the Valentino accessories.  Below is what we wore last year.

I wore a New York & Co blouse and lace skirt. My friend wore a dress from JC Penny. We both wore flowers in our hair from Charming Charlie's.

Have a great week everyone and remember to never stop daydreaming!

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Valentino Studded Slingbacks

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Valentino Studded Slingbacks

Happy Hump Day! It's Wednesday and that means two things: we are half way through our week and it's Drool-Worthy Wednesday. I previously mentioned these Valentino sling backs in my pointed-toe shoe trend, but I love the shoe so much I needed to mention them again!

I like that the shoe comes in a flat, kitten, or high heel. It also comes in a wide variety of colors and prints. Seriously, how can you possibly not like something so chic?! It could be yours for....$800-$1,300 (depending on the heel height and color).

The steal could be found on Boohoo.com for $55! It's called the Melissa. I'll take both, but I'll keep drooling over the Valentinos.

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Mansur Gavriel

Drool-Worthy Wednesday: Mansur Gavriel

I obviously have a hand bag problem, because I feel like most of my drool-worthy posts has been about bags. Today, and for some time, am obsessed with the Mansur Gavriel large tote! They come with different colors on the inside. I personally really enjoy the red and they have Instagramed new spring colors coming out very soon! The beautiful bag can be yours for $500. Designed in New York and made in Italy, so you know it has to be great quality!

On the board I show examples of some Zara bags that can meet your large tote needs. I also have a New York & Co. large tote that I've featured before that can also do the job.

Stay warm from the snow storm coming towards us in the Northeast. I was planning on seeing Zac Posen at the Apple store in Soho, but that's not going to happen due to the predictions of this storm. I'm very sad over this, because I was so excited for weeks.

Drool- Worthy Wednesday: Adult Tutus

Drool- Worthy Wednesday: Adult Tutus

Tutus! I've always wanted a tutu after seeing Carrie Bradshaw wearing one in the opening credits of Sex and the City. Thankfully designers and even some craft enthusiasts are creating beautiful adult versions of them.
The beautiful golden yellow tutu is from Lara Khoury is $646. It's very classy and the color is gorgeous! The black tutu labeled as the steal is $60 at modcloth.com.
If you have a sewing machine, you can watch YouTube videos for tutorials on how to make a tutu. If you are not crafty Esty has many vendors that can customize tutus for you.

Must Have Monday: Bruno Mars' Super Bowl Metallic Jacket

The Super Bowl! I don't know much about sports, but I do watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and the half time show. Bruno Mars gave an amazing performance along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I absolutely loved the metallic blazer jackets worn by Bruno and his band. I immediately envisioned wear the jacket as shown above. Congrats to the Seahawks for the big win!

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Dolce & Gabbana Lace Dress

Drool Worthy Wednesday: Dolce & Gabbana Lace Dress

Lace! It's something we would only associate with our grandmother's home. Thanks to 'Say Yes to the Dress' glamourizing lace wedding gowns, it is back. Dolce & Gabbana is leading the industry to make lace sexy, especially when pairing the dress without a lining and just underwear in their advertisement.

I personally can not get enough of this dress! I liked the trend so much it's what inspired me to purchase my lace skirt in the New Year blogpost. The lace texture is great and it was a great bargin, but I will continue to drool over the beautiful Dolce & Gabbana dress.

The D&G dress cost around $2,500 and the steal is $25 on newlook.com.
