The Balmain Suede Thigh Boot Edition

Welcome to Drool Worthy Wednesdays! I will share an item that I'm currently drooling over, because frankly I can't afford it. Today's item is the Balmain suede thigh boot.

Beyonce. Jennifer Lopez. Rihanna. Lady Gaga. Shay Mitchell.

What do all these girls have in common? They are strutting their stuff in thigh high boots.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Ro. Thigh high boots are not a new trend?! Julia Roberts wore them in Pretty Women"! Yes, this is very true. The only difference is that Julia was playing a prostitute and I'm here to make sure you look like a stylish lady when wearing this trend.

Do:

• Tight jeans.
• Opaque or black sheer tights.
• Long sleeves
• Full, skater, or wool skirts. 
• Suede or leather boot.

Don't:

• Fishnet stockings.
• Deep V necks or low necklines.
• Long skirts or dresses. 
• Bandage dresses or along these lines.  
• Patent leather or stretch material.

The Balmain boot stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it. I also found out that it costs up to $2,000 (first boot on the board) . Forever 21 has a pair of boots for $44.80 and Go Jane has a pair for $27 (last boot on the board). They are not exactly the thigh high boots I would like, but a great substitute for this look. The Balmain thigh-high suede boot definitely left me drooling.
