"Repetition Is Reputation"

On February 13th, my husband and I attended a Fashion In Conversation event at the Apple store in SoHo, NY. The guest of the evening was Zac Posen who was interviewed by Kinvara Balfour. He discussed his recent runway show and showed a video of the designs featured. 

He discussed his time interning at Nicole Miller and at the Metropolitan Measum of Art. 

Even though there seemed to be many aspiring fashion designers there, Posen's advice was applicable to anyone in any career. He shared that the quote he really enjoys is "Repetition is Reputation" when asked about his signature lines in his gowns. When you do something so often, it becomes a part of you and your identity. This really resonated with me and what I want my reputation to be.

I know it says that it's available on iTunes as a podcast, but it does not come up on my iphone. I went under this tab and searched for the interviews, which then loaded to my podcast app. They are videos and are of amazing quality, but of course it's Apple. There are many other interviews on the list like Anna Wintour (Vouge), Refinery 29, Scott Schuman, and Manolo Blanik. This was a series that was done due to Fashion Week in NYC.
